CHENILLE PATCHES

The chenille yarn is manufactured by placing short lengths of yarn, called the "pile", between two "core yarns" and then twisting the yarn together. The edges of these piles then stand at right angles to the yarn's core, giving chenille both its softness and its characteristic look. Chenille will look different in one direction compared to another, as the fibers catch the light differently.

Chenille Patch

This patch is commonly made by placing two core yarns and twisting them together. It will have a similar fuzz to the top of a caterpillar. Because of this process, chenille can have a soft and fuzzy character.Chenille embroidery, colloquially known as "chenille" is a kind of specialized loop or chain embroidery, which is made with yarn, not typical embroidery threads - polyester or viscose. Thanks to use of yarn instead of threads , this embroidery method makes the pattern look optically thicker and more convex.
